I joined aap3 in 2014 as a Recruitment Apprentice, working as a Resourcer for the Account Managers in the team. Since then, I have worked in the Operations side of the business as a PMO Coordinator for clients in the Video Conferencing industry.

I returned to the Recruitment team in May 2022 to take on database reporting, process production and general coordination duties for the team.

Outside of work I enjoy dog walks, socialising, and planning the next getaway.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Partners with the business to understand business context (trends and business strategy) and its impact on enterprise technology, application, and information strategies.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of the strategic business plans of the Organization.
  • Accountable to ensure that the health of the systems supporting the business capabilities are communicated, and a roadmap established to align the strategies to the IT investment plan.
  • Provides infrastructure architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Business Relationship Managers, Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, and Systems/Solution Architects.
  • Documents and develops in-depth knowledge of existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio of the Organization.
  • Develops, documents, communicates and enforces technology standards.
  • Conducts research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure and development efforts, and recommends technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility.
  • Develops, documents, makes recommendations, and communicates plans for investing in the IT infrastructure ecosystem, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
  • Develops test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance, reports findings, and makes recommendations for improvement.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience managing within a matrix structure and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of business capability modeling and mapping.
  • Experience with creating strategic roadmaps.
  • Experience with hyper-converged, hybrid-cloud ecosystems required.
  • Demonstrated working experience with architectural frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, Gartner Methodology, etc. Certifications preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or another relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of related IT experience with a minimum of 5 years of successful leadership experience.
  • ITIL certified or at least 5 years of utilizing ITIL within organizations.

Skills and Attributes

  • Skilled in presenting systems specifications and evaluating the same, working with business representation from all functional process areas across the globe.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, policies, regulatory requirements and industry information affecting client’s environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support vetting team by assisting in the clearance of future incumbents with a Baseline personal security standard – BPSS
  • Identify and escalate potential issues when clearing candidates.
  • Maintain a common format for data collation, mapping and reporting.
  • Undertake continuous development of business systems and the data management processes including VRS, Volt & MOD systems, VSI checks, transfers/shares of SC.
  • Assist the senior vetting -coordinator in the progression and moderation of vetting policies, guidelines, and systems to encourage best practice within the company
  • Carry out data entry activities related to vetting team requirements
  • General administrative duties as required to support the vetting and wider People Services team.
  • Work closely with other members of the People Services to deliver a timely, accurate and effective People Services administrative service
  • Develop effective business relationships
  • Provide day-to-day assistance and administrative support for the team including screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests.
  • All vetting administration (collating references, liaising with security watchdog communicate with GART & AMS

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and compilation of weekly bookings data to ensure no overbookings, misbookings or incorrect people booking to the T&C cost account.
  • Efficient and accurate management of timesheets for self and the T&C team whilst chasing down trapped timesheets for the wider IPT
  • Support the Senior Project Professional with the management of test form writing and review completion and liaise with Senior Commissioning Managers to update the Test Form Index on a weekly basis
  • Creation of weekly packs to support performance, cost, schedule and risk reviews
  • Support any office moves for T&C by liaising with the facilities team including IT, desks, equipment and documentation
  • Creation of supply chain documentation such as PO’s to order T&C equipment and consumables and the receipt of these on arrival
  • Support T&C team with administrative tasks in the office such as stationary, printing, document storage etc.
  • Administration of online document storage software such as Sharepoint and Windchill to ensure it is organised and management appropriately.
  • You will be required to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people in the team and wider project and provide accurate metrics to the Senior Project Professional when required.

Key skills & qualifications

  • Clear communication of information to the correct quality in a timely manner, sometimes against tight timelines.
  • Quick and simple management of admin tasks, both in the office and online.
  • You should be proficient in the use of a wide range of IT software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
