Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Samlesbury as a System Design Authority.

The role will be an initial 10 month contract and will provide you with the opportunity to join the IM&T team, defining, delivering and sustaining IM&T solutions for US Programmes customers within the Air Sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the IM&T Head of Information Programmes for the US Programmes business to ensure that the business requirements for IM&T support are fully understood and that the necessary provisions for this support are clearly articulated into the overall IM&T IBP
  • Supporting the submission of IM&T Solutions for new business opportunities (Bids)
  • Provision of technical leadership, authority and direction for the development of new, expansion of existing or replacement of obsolete IM&T Solutions for existing US Programmes activities.
  • Supporting the creation of technical estimates and costs for incorporation into wider customer proposals
  • Ensuring ongoing business requirements are correctly translated into cost effective technical solutions in accordance with IM&T principles, practices and guidelines
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams (training, supply chain, engineering, maintenance etc) and the external customer to deliver successful outcomes

Key skills & qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems or similar discipline
  • A recognised architectural qualification such as ToGAF and demonstrable experience in its practical use across the IM&T solution/product lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages such as, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and familiarity with topical Computer Aided Systems Engineering (CASE) tools used for architectural design.
  • Experience in governing the design and delivering Information Systems solutions across the life cycle

Rate: £96.23 per hour (Inside IR35)
