Software Asset and Configuration Lead

Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Farnborough as a Software Asset and Configuration Lead.

The role will be an initial 6 month contract and will provide you with support to the Enterprise Software Asset Manager for strategic planning and management of the current estate, with reference to, knowledge of strategic software vendor licencing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for data management and reconciliation with key stakeholders and third parties
  • Responsible for the provision of demand data for compliancy reporting
  • SAM lead for technology configuration and capacity change Head of Business Operations Head of Governance and Compliance Software Asset Manager Software Compliance Manager Software Asset Administrator Software Asset Administrator Software Asset Administrator Junior Software Asset Administrator Software Asset and Configuration Manager Software Asset Data Analyst Software Asset & Configuration Lead
  • Ensure that the introduction of any new software/services and associated licenses is done in a controlled manner to ensure that the use, ownership, and support of the application is understood and managed going forward
  • Contract management for new software, and impact assessment of major contract changes
  • SME for assigned top tier publishers

Key skills & qualifications

  • Experience managing software licensing across multiple platforms at an enterprise level
  • In-depth knowledge of ITAM and SAM lifecycles & management processes
  • Strong experience & aptitude in working with complex, fragmented & unstructured data
  • Proven track record of senior stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge into the complexities of license contract terms and software license types
  • Experience of Software Asset Management toolsets
  • Maintain knowledge of software licensing and usage legislation
  • Assist in software publisher audits and internal SAM audit activities
