Senior Systems Engineer

Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Warton as a Senior Systems Engineer.

The role will be an initial 12 month contract and will provide you with the opportunity to work across the Electronic Warfare elements of the support solution for the European Common Radar Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting supplier and customer workshops
  • Requirements capture
  • Scoping EW mission data requirements for rig and flight test activities
  • Supporting the Radar EDR in the definition of the ECRS Mk2 ICD
  • Supporting the definition of the Test and Qualification Strategy for ECRS
  • Supporting the ECRS EW Lead and ECRS Air Service Lead in the review of Avionics and Air Service ECRS documentation
  • Participate in supplier workshops to define and develop Electronic Warfare (EW) product route maps to support ECRS
  • Define the system level requirements with the customer and then expand these to include the derived requirements
  • Work with suppliers to formalise these requirements
  • Collaborate with the wider EW capability to develop a System Architecture to support ECRS
  • Scope EW mission data requirements for rig and flight test activities
  • Support the Radar EDR in the definition of the ECRS Mk2 Data ICD
  • Support the definition of the Test and Qualification Strategy for ECRS
  • Support the review of Avionics and Air Service ECRS documentation

Key skills & qualifications

  • Essential – Degree educated in a science/engineering discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle
  • Essential – Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Desirable – Familiar with Electronic Warfare and its products
  • Desirable – Knowledge of the RADAR and DA sub systems
