Senior Project Delivery Engineer

Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Glascoed as a Senior Project Delivery Engineer.

The role will be an initial 12 month contract and will provide you with the opportunity to support the Engineering Delivery lead in the management and delivery of substantive programmes within Land UK Engineering. This will include updating activities, budget management and managing reporting mechanisms for the current contract and supporting the transition to the follow-on 15 year contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the adoption of any new processes or operating models defined by the Engineering Delivery Lead as part of the transition within Land UK Business.
  • This role is fundamental to supporting the Engineering delivery solution, enabling a major shift from the current capability approach to an output-based contract, whilst ensuring Land UK delivers on its contractual requirements.
  • Support the project manage and delivery of substantive programmes within Land UK.
  • Engage with multi-discipline teams and subject matter expert to ensure programme/project delivery.
  • With the guidance of the Engineering Delivery Lead ensure governance and assurance within area of responsibility of the programme.
  • Track status of programme Cost, Quality and Schedule.
  • Assist the Engineering delivery Lead with managing the transition from the current contract construct into the proposed construct of the 15 year follow-on contract.
  • Reporting of Key Performance Indicators for area of responsibility.
  • Capability sustainment measurement/identification and reporting.
  • Prepare/compile reporting as required by the Engineering delivery Lead and the programme.
  • Supporting at all times the timely delivery of the current, core contract.

Major Tasks and Activities

  • Project planning
  • Budget control and monitoring of deployed packages of work.
  • Facilitating the correct level of Engineering governance and control for projects in line with the Business Management System.
  • Develop strong long-term relationships with the functional engineering management and projects teams.
  • Assist as required with any analysis required by the Engineering Delivery Lead.
  • Undertake activities to the support the business as instructed by the Engineering Delivery Lead.

Key skills & qualifications

  • Relevant project control experience.
  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft packages and SAP (or equilivant).
  • Good knowledge of Microsft Project and general Project Management theory.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail a key requirement.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to the audience.
  • Illustrates, or is keen to develop.

Location: Glascoed

Rate: £26.31 per hour (inside IR35)
