Senior Accountant / Assistant Business Partner

Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Lancashire as a Senior Accountant / Assistant Business Partner.

The role will be an initial 10-month contract and will provide you with the opportunity to use your skills to support the Business Partners in influencing the wider business through the provision of data analysis, produce management information and ensure financial governance is considered at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation, review and analysis of reports and spreadsheets as required
  • Provision of financial support & advice to customers and stakeholders
  • Operate financial systems and processes in a constantly changing environment
  • Resolve problems to ensure management reporting timescales are met
  • Provide help-line to internal and external customers
  • Support Business Partners in order to facilitate decision-making using knowledge and experience
  • Effective liaison with other functions & across the finance teams
  • Continual improvement of procedures and working practices
  • Manage financial transactional inputs

Key skills & qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant, CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Previous experience necessary in Management Accounting, also some experience in Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Project Accounting is preferable
  • Proficient in using Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Power-point
  • Confidence to financially challenge in a way to add value to the business
  • Proactive, with a forward thinking and collaborative approach
  • Ability to prepare both detailed and summarised information whilst adhering to deadlines
  • Able to develop effective working relationships and be flexible in a changing environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to work load peaks and changes in business or processes
  • Desirable – knowledge of Infor LN and Planning and Analytics (TM1)

Location: Lancashire

Rate: £33.23 per hour (inside IR35)
