Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Preston as a Lead Contingent Worker working with BAE Systems.

The role will be an initial 12 month contract and will provide you with the opportunity to work on project managing a roadmap of transformation activities to achieve a best in class Contingent Recruitment Model, Process and Technology solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall Responsibility for the programme managing the roadmap of activities across Technology systems, org design and process to deliver the changes required to ensure BAE Systems Contingent recruitment is world class.
  • Work with the current delivery teams to design, develop and implement best in class contingent recruitment proces, technology and delivery model to fulfil current skill gaps and future talent requirements across BAE systems.
  • Ensure an exciting, engaging, consistent candidate experience throughout the journey through application, assessment and on-boarding process.
  • Support the design and delivery of a suite of reporting metrics to analyse the success of the recruitment journey and continue to look at new and innovative ways to improve/extend it.
  • Engage with key stakeholders internally and lead a collaborative approach to implementing changes.
  • Ensure all applicable policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Collaborate with the wider Recruitment transformation project team to ensure alignment on strategy, process and technology and ensure dependencies are planned for

Key skills & qualifications

  • Experience in developing and implementing contingent recruitment strategies and solutions.
  • A proven ability to think strategically and interpret data
  • Extensive experience working within and leading a Recruitment/Talent Acquisition team supporting contingent recruitment
  • Working knowledge of the contingent worker regulations including IR35
  • Experience and strategic knowledge of contingent demand planning
  • Experience in managing, coaching and leading a team
  • A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion as well as social mobility
  • A proven track record of working in a complex matrix driven organisation and influencing multiple stakeholders
  • A driven self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • The desire and drive to be creative, come up with new ideas and not be afraid to roll their sleeves up
  • Experience and Skill in the use of and management of contingent management systems to support recruitment, rate cards and payment including analysing data, SLAs, and KPIs specifically for contingent
  • skilled in driving and implementing recruitment projects, including diversity initiatives
  • Ability to programme manage multiple projects
  • Ability to break projects down into multiple components and ensure resource/actions to complete are understood
  • Strong collaboration skills across function, department and business areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication and partnering skills.
