Hunt Senior Project Scheduler

Role Summary

We have an exciting new contract opportunity based in Portsmouth as a Hunt Senior Project Scheduler.

The role will be an initial 6 month contract and will provide you with being responsible for building, maintaining, updating and reporting the schedule using MSP and SAP, generate and manage critical path activities and present to PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain schedule, identify and present CP activities
  • Link and manage NWAs/WBS including re-scheduling and aligning activities
  • Performs the full range of project control activity for activities that have limited complexity.
  • Understands and is able to use all common project management tools sets, e.g. Risk register, change control, etc.
  • Requires a good understanding of the structure of information for the service area or project, is able to monitor progress using BAE Systems processes and methods of control and reporting.
  • Capable of performing detailed performance analysis using a range of PM toolsets and techniques ie: MSP and SAP.

Key skills & qualifications

  • Be aware of and adhere to BAE Systems Maritime Services policies and procedures and maintain compliance with statutory regulations (including those of Information Systems, Safety Health & Environment and Security Requirements).
  • Knowledge and experience in the Maritime Sector and/or in dealing with Ministry of Defence / Military Customer base.
  • Knowledge and application of BAE Systems Lifecycle Management Framework.
  • Knowledge and experience of core Project Management capabilities (i.e. Planning & Scheduling, Risk & Opportunity Management, Performance Management, Lifecycle Management and Stakeholder Management).
  • Extensive skill and significant experience of defining the scope of the project and of breaking this into manageable units; work breakdown structures, control accounts and work packages
  • Extensive skill and significant experience in identifying, assessing, allocating and managing project risks and project opportunities
  • Familiar with and some practical experience with a structured approach to planning, cost collection, and performance measurement
  • Degree/ honours degree or equivalent in a PM/ business qualification and/ or equivalent business experience.
