HR Manager – TUPE

This role relates to either an HR Manager residing in a key/complex area of the business providing generalist support and specialist TUPE support in the delivery of HR strategy and people plans or an HR Manager responsible for a significant project, likely to impact companywide.

At this level the role is directly accountable for scoping, developing and delivering companywide HR projects that will have a long term impact on the business and in some cases other UK businesses.

Core duties include

HR point of contact for a key/complex business area, providing HR support and guidance to a Function or Business Stream at a senior level

  • Manages senior stakeholders effectively through regular meetings and appropriate communications
  • Works closely with other members of the HR team to deliver a timely, accurate and effective HR service delivery to an area
  • Develops effective business relationships and coaches senior managers; equipping them with appropriate tools and knowledge to create high performing teams
  • Supports the Head of HR and HRBP in the delivery of the HR strategy and people plan for their Function or Business Stream. Will also contribute to developing HR strategy and people plans
  • Participate in some or all of the following as the HR lead: LCM meeting, Phase Review meetings, Design Review meetings and Project CSR meetings
  • Review business related people data to identify potential implications within the business context and initiate actions to resolve as appropriate
  • Scopes develops and delivers HR projects that are large and impact companywide

Responsibilities

  • Requires significant depth and breadth of knowledge related to one or two HR subject area and a comprehensive knowledge of all disciplines within HR
  • Recognised as an expert within the subject area and its application in the business
  • CIPD qualified
  • HR Degree or equivalent comprehensive experience in an HR role
  • Sound knowledge of HR processes, procedures and systems
  • Comprehensive level of employee relations knowledge
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and LCM
  • Works independently, top cover may be provided at meetings for which a Head of HR or HRBP is accountable

The Individual

  • TUPE experience essential
  • CIPD qualified
  • HR Degree or equivalent comprehensive experience in an HR role
  • Sound knowledge of HR processes, procedures and systems
  • Comprehensive level of employee relations knowledge
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and LCM
  • Works independently, top cover may be provided at meetings for which a Head of HR or HRBP is accountable
  • Understands how HR activity integrates and influences the performance of other areas of the business. Has a comprehensive understanding of the external environment, including knowledge of leading edge thinking and how to apply this internally to differentiate the business from competitors
  • Understands how HR subject area activity integrates and influences business and wider process performance
