Field Service Engineer – Maritime communications
Opportunity for a Field Service Engineer – Maritime communications
In this role you will install, maintain and repair radio, navigational and Satellite communication systems on supertankers, yachts and boats.
You will need 3+ years maritime service engineer experience for this role
You must either hold or be eligible for UK SC-level security clearance as a minimum
This role will require global travel – overtime is paid and a disturbance allowance is applicable for overnight stays. Additional benefits include performance-based annual bonus and pension matched to 7.5%
This role can be based in Newcastle, Plymouth, Falmouth, Hull, Liverpool or Portsmouth.
Responsibilities:
- VDR-APTs
- Radio Surveys
- Installation, repair and maintaining GMDSS Equipment
- Installation, repair and maintaining Navigational equipment
- Installation, repair and maintaining VSAT Satellite Broadband
- Working on Retrofit projects completing whole bridge installs and large system integrations
Experience required:
- 3+ Years of Marine Service Engineer experience
- Good standard at higher level education HND/ ONC/ NVQ or equivalent
- Ideally, have a skill base education/ qualification in IT/ engineering
- Current driving licence
- Able to pass marine/ offshore medical examination
- Valid Passport
- In-depth knowledge of electronic/electrical engineering
- GMDSS Radio Operator / Maintainer License preferred
