Contracts Engineer

Responsibilities

  • To provide Discipline/Specialist technical knowledge and ensure that contractors work safely on site and adhere to the site rules.
  • Provide support to contractors.
  • Managing contractor requirements, risks and method of working;
  • Providing guidance
  • Conducting testing and evaluation;
  • Supporting acceptance and review.
  • Plan and execute contractor duties.
  • Use direct measurement, survey, interview, observational and documentation methods to collect and analyse data.
  • Act as the conduit between the business and contractors.
  • Create procedure documentation to formalise working practices.
  • Provide advice on the usability of standard operating procedures.
  • Provide guidance to queries on site standards.
  • Provide expertise during accident and incident investigations.
  • Scope and manage how and when work will be conducted.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in dealing with changes.

Your competencies, skills and qualifications

Essential:

  • Knowledge and experience of site and methods involved in safety assessments.
  • Knowledge and experience of products and/or processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • At least two years’ site experience.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience of the site.
  • Knowledge and experience of site procedures.
